Roles & Responsibilities

General Surgical Scrub Nurse


Basic Salary - $4000-$7000

Working location – 1 Orchard Blvd, Singapore 248649

Working Hours –Rotating shift Mon - Fri (7am-7pm), Alternate Saturday (8:30am-1pm)



Responsibilities:

  • Surgical Preparation:Prepare and perform surgical procedures in a sterile manner, following asepsis principles.
  • Coordinate and prepare surgical equipment and instruments.
  • Instrument Management:Conduct full counts of instruments before, during, and after surgeries.
  • Safely handle sharps and contaminated waste.
  • Assisting in Anesthesia:Participate in safe anesthesia care for general, regional, and deep sedation anesthesia.
  • Scrubbing, Circulating, and Recovery Duties:Perform scrubbing, circulating, and recovery duties.
  • Assist with patient transfer to the recovery area.
  • Patient Care:Provide pre-operative and post-operative care.
  • Housekeeping and Compliance:Maintain cleanliness according to Infection Control Standards.
  • Assist in operating room cleaning and management.
  • Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate surgical and patient care records.
  • Report discrepancies or issues to supervisors.


Requirements:


  • Diploma/Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution approved by the Singapore Nursing Board.
  • Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in healthcare operating theatre settings.
  • Experience in orthopedic surgery preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and sterile techniques.
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification; ACLS is a plus.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
