Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for a driven, language-savvy and life science-oriented individual to be a full-time acquisitions editor in our editorial team.


Responsibilities

  • Acquire new book proposals from prominent authors in Life Science and Biomedical topics.
  • Develop and manage new and existing STM journals.
  • Adept and trained in the understanding of this area of science.
  • Responsible for full editorial process from manuscript to publication, which includes liaising with authors, reviewers, typesetters, printers and designers for both book and journal publications.
  • Any ad hoc projects as and when required and assigned.

Requirements

  • Diploma / Degree in Life Science and Biomedical fields.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, analytical skills, and excellent interpersonal skills at all levels.
  • Ability in managing multiple projects simultaneously amid tight deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work independently  as well as a team.
  • Prior experience in academic publishing will be given preference.
  • Preferably able to read and write Mandarin emails.
