The role involves:

  • Developing and delivering training materials (e.g. Audit / Accounting Training, Workshops, Monthly Technical Updates) to the Audit business and any other audit quality-related initiatives
  • Anticipating and analysing new accounting, sustainability reporting and technological developments in space like AICPA, PCAOB, US SEC, US FASB developments to understand their implications
  • Supporting the business to resolve client-specific auditing and financial/ sustainability reporting issues
  • Assist in the deployment and integration of the new QC1000 standard, ensuring smooth adoption and compliance across the organization.
  • Provide second-line defense support for PCAOB engagements, assisting in reviewing and monitoring application of the policy.
  • Address quality matters related to PCAOB requirements, identifying areas for improvements and also supporting with developing solutions.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Knowledge of auditing and assurance standards (ISA, PCAOB and AICPA) is essential.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS is an advantage
  • Certified Public Accountants or have obtained an equivalent qualification
  • At least 8 years of auditing, accounting and/or sustainability-reporting related experience, including taking on a managerial role in the application, interpretation and analysis of auditing, accounting and/or sustainability-reporting standards
  • Self-motivated and are able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to deliver quality presentations and present excellent written deliverables
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to work within a team, and provide direction and support to team members
  • Strong technical knowledge of PCAOB, AICPA, US GAAP and/or US SEC requirements
  • Excellent communicators and influencers, with the ability to establish credibility and positive relationships at all levels in the firm
  • Stamina and perseverance in driving audit quality
