Our software engineers for productinfrastructure role combine software and systems engineeringdisciplines to run high-performance, large-scale distributedinfrastructure. This means you will be deeply involved in thedevelopmental lifecycle of critical software services,collaborating closely with product engineers to combine softwarecode and systems knowledge to ensure that TikTok e-commerce'sservices are reliable, fault-tolerant, efficiently scalable andcost-effective. You will also be leveraging your softwareengineering expertise to develop software platforms and tools tooptimise the operational and engineering efficiencies of complexsystems at scale, with particular focus on improving the systems'observability, performance andmaintainability.

Responsibilities

- Safeguarding the stability andreliability of TikTok's e-commerce databasesystem.

- Deep understanding of e-commercebusiness, systematic database optimization and riskgovernance.

- Perform database fault discovery,localization, and stop-loss capability building to improve databaseanomaly recovery speed.

- In-depth understandingof database design for e-commerce business, working with R&D ondatabase architecture design and optimization.

-Lead resource management and optimization of TikTok's e-commercedatabase.

- Research, design, and developcomputer and network software or specialised utility programs.

- Analyse user needs and develop softwaresolutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science,engineering, and mathematical analysis.

-Update software, enhances existing software capabilities, anddevelops and direct software testing and validation procedures.

Qualifications

-Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, InformationTechnology, Programming & System Analysis, Science (ComputerStudies) or related discipline.

- Candidateshould have at least 5 years of experience in MySQL, Redis, etc.,with experience in large-scale database clustermanagement.

- Proficient in the architecture ofmainstream databases, able to carry out reasonable databaseselection and design.

- Proficient in databaseoptimization with independent database troubleshootingskills.

- Good communication, collaboration andfacilitation skills.
