Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description


Senior Welding Inspector:

The incumbent is responsible for supervising/performing the steel works inspections on site as a third party in accordance with projects / consultant specifications with reference to International standards to support the achievement of the sales targets.


Inspection Preparation Works

  • Plan the inspection jobs for the assigned project as per approved Inspection Test plans (ITP)
  • Perform reviewing activities to ensure meeting the project requirements


Inspection Works on Site

  • Carry out the assigned inspection jobs as per client requirements
  • Resolve any inspection issues


Completion of Inspection Reports

  • Prepare inspection reports for submission to client
  • Submit inspection reports/certification for review and billing process


Supporting Duties

  • Prepare for new tests / certification as per organisation requirement
  • Prepare /Update the calibration records and internal procedures for audits
  • Recommend relevant testing services to clients
  • Coach and guide staff on the job


Senior Engineer:

The incumbent is responsible for the heat treatment operations so as to support the achievement of the sales targets. In addition, the incumbent is to ensure the reliability of machines and equipment is at desired optimum level at all times.


Operations Planning

  • Plan the schedules and the required resources to meet the project requirements
  • Organise staffing to ensure the smooth and successfully execution of the projects
  • Plan the preventive maintenance measures to ensure availability and reliability of equipment for the projects

Works Implementation & Progress Monitoring

  • Oversee all site operations and ensure that technicians follow client’s instruction and procedure for testing
  • Liaise with client to manage project schedules to ensure jobs are on track.
  • Implement safety protocols and measures to ensure safety at work site
  • Execute the planned preventive maintenance measures to ensure availability and reliability of equipment for the projects
  • Control the operations costs
  • Resolve technical issues related to heat treatment operations
  • Conduct skills training related to heat treatment for new staff

Completion of Test Report

  • Review and approved the final test reports for submission to client and billing processes

Job Requirement:

  • 3 Years in Process/Marine/Construction and Oil & Gas.
  • 2 Years Experience in Piping inspection, Structural steel work fabrication inspection
  • Experience in:

- Structural works inspection during integration/Erection

- Witness tests such as Material, NDT, Hydro, Pressure testing

- Experience & Punch list preparations

- Able to perform inspections and painting activities

  • Familiar with Word/Excel/Quality software
  • Certify with:
  1. AWS SCWI/CWI/CSWIP 3.1/ 3.2/ API 570/ NACE Level 2 Painting Inspection
  2. ASNT/PCN Level lll / ll in

- Visual Examination (VT)

- Liquid Penetrant (PT)

- Magnetic Particles (MT)

- Radiography (RT)

RT Film interpretation (PCN-RI)

- Ultrasonic testing (UT)
