Job Purpose

The Mobility Engineer will be responsible for repair and maintenance of electric vehicles and components.


Job Duties & Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities are listed below. Note that the list is not comprehensive and related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Perform comprehensive inspections to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.

· Diagnose problems using diagnostic equipment, computerized systems, and manual testing methods.

· Conduct repairs and adjustments on various vehicle components.

· Replace or repair faulty parts and components to restore vehicle performance and functionality.

· Follow manufacturer guidelines and service schedules to ensure vehicles are properly maintained and meet warranty requirements.

· Communicate effectively with customers to understand their vehicle concerns and explain repair recommendations.

· Address customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring customer satisfaction with the service provided.

· Monitor workflow and adjust booking schedules as required.

· Ensure that works carried out meet quality standards and specifications.

· Overseeing the daily operations of a workshop.

· Assist in assigning tasks and responsibilities for team members.

· Implement inventory control measures to minimize consumable waste and spare part consumption.

· Manage vehicle service record of the fleet.

· Submit vehicle warranty case and upkeep warranty records.


Qualifications and work experience:

- Minimum 1-year relevant working experience required.

- Min. NTC 2 in Engineering or equivalent


Technical skills include:

· Prior experience in vehicle / component repairs

· Experience in electric vehicle maintenance preferred

· Able to understand and use diagnostic tools

· Prior experience in using workshop tools (e.g. Floor Jacks, Hoist etc)

· Class 3 / 4 driving license preferred


Generic skills include:

· Able to speak and write simple English

· Excellent multitasking skills

· Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

· Team player

· Good time-management skills

· Great interpersonal and communication skills
