LKCMedicine is a joint medical school between NanyangTechnological University (NTU) and Imperial CollegeLondon.

The Research Associate will play apivotal role by leveraging expertise in digital health and healtheducation, working closely under the guidance of Professor Cleland.The Research Associate will provide crucial support to ProfessorCleland, who leads the World Health Organization CollaboratingCenter (WHOCC) for Digital Health and Health Education. The rolewill involve conducting evidence synthesis using various methods(quantitative, qualitative, mixed methods) for systematic reviews.The applicant will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team ofsystematic reviewers to evaluate evidence on digital health andhealth education topics. The work will directly contribute to therealm of digital health and health education at the regional andinternational level.

KeyResponsibilities:
  • Undertake evidencesynthesis related to digital health and healtheducation.
  • Responsible for the delivery of asuite of reviews within the WHOCC.
  • Preparingdeliverables including writing progress/final report, drafting andreviewing manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals,crafting posters/abstracts/presentation slides for local and/orinternational conferences.
  • Independent use ofqualitative and/or quantitative research approaches to answerresearch questions.
  • Analysis and interpretationof data.
  • Participating in regular team meetingsand discussions which may involve internal and externalstakeholders,
  • Daily operational, administrativerequirements of projects.
  • Any otherproject-related duties as assigned by thesupervisor.


KeyCompetencies andRequirements:
  • Master's degree byresearch in Epidemiology, Health Administration, Nursing,Biostatistics, Public Health, Public Health, Social Sciences or arelated discipline.
  • Proficiency in medicalterminology, evidence-based medicine and the utilisation ofepidemiologic principles in guidelineformulation.
  • Experienced in evidence synthesesand manuscript writing.
  • Demonstrated success ofproject implementation and management.
  • Strongability to integrate knowledge from diverse disciplines forcomprehensive evidence synthesis.
  • Effectiveverbal and written communication skills, especially in translatingcomplex findings for variedaudiences.
  • Organised, detail-oriented,meticulous, and proficient in handlingdata.
  • Responsible and takes ownership ofassigned tasks.
  • Proficient in ensuringadherence to institutional guidelines, policies and regulatoryrequirements throughout projectlifecycle.
  • Highly motivated and able to workindependently, as well as collaboratively in a diverse andinterdisciplinary team.
  • Effective computer andtechnology literacy.
  • Adaptable and willing toengage in deep learning in newareas.
