Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in banking IT, particularly in private banking, with a strong focus on regulatory topics. This role requires excellent analytical skills, technical-functional knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multi-cultural environment.


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Advise on and challenge Tax Regulatory requirements (e.g., German Tax, AEOI/CRS, FATCA, IRS871m).
  • Gather and document requirements from end users and product owners.
  • Write detailed functional specifications (DFS) or user stories and confirm with developers.
  • Collaborate with POs and BAs on multi-system features and interfaces.
  • Support system design, development, unit testing, and review SIT strategy and test cases.
  • Assist in UAT by reproducing issues, monitoring, and problem resolution.
  • Ensure requirements are met in Production and support project delivery.
  • Assist with governance, security, or architecture-related tasks.
  • Organize and run meetings or committees as needed.
  • Communicate and collaborate with third parties to analyze information needs and functional requirements.

Candidate Profile:

  • 8+ years in banking IT (private banking) with 5+ years on regulatory topics.
  • Knowledge of private banking operations and financial products.
  • Experience with project lifecycle, functional and technical specifications.
  • Experience in Tax Regulatory topics (e.g., German Tax, AEOI/CRS, FATCA, IRS871m).
  • General IT knowledge (SQL) and proficiency in Excel (e.g., vlookup, pivots).
  • Excellent written and oral communication in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Good presentation skills for direct communication with Europe/Asia business users.
  • Ability to collaborate with team members (Business and IT) and work flexible hours during tax reporting periods.
  • Experience in organizing and managing tests (SIT/Non-regression, UAT) and familiarity with methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and release management tools.
  • Knowledge of reporting systems (e.g., EasyTax, FiTax, SECTRAS, WM Daten, SIX).
