The School aims to equipour students with up-to-date knowledge, critical thinking,research, as well as communication skills to enable them to realisetheir potential and aspirations and to make lasting contributionsto Singapore and beyond.

The School ofHumanities seeks to fill a tenure-track position, at theAssistant Professor level, with specialisation inContemporary Literature and ArtHistory. The position is a joint appointment with theEnglish and Art History department. All areas of expertise inContemporary Literature and Global Contemporary Art History will beconsidered.

Candidates should possess a PhD inContemporary Literature, Art History, Visual Studies, Humanities,or closely related fields and demonstrate a strong track record orpotential for research as well as a commitment to teaching andadministrative service. Selection will be based on evidence ofpotential for high-quality research and effective teaching. Theusual workload includes teaching two courses per semester,conducting scholarly research and contributing to universityservices.

Remuneration

Salaryis commensurate with qualifications andexperience.
