As a Senior / Project Engineer at Durapower, you'll combine electrical engineering with system-level thinking, contributing to the design, installation, and optimization of battery systems that power everything from electric vehicles to large-scale energy storage projects. You'll be working alongside talented engineers and project managers to bring energy storage systems to life—creating solutions that power the future.

Job Description: Senior/Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to design and optimize battery energy storage (BESS) and e-mobility system ensuring efficiency, performance, and safety standards are met.
  • Lead the integration of electrical systems, including battery modules, converters, inverters, battery management system (BMS), and energy management systems (EMS), ensuring they work seamlessly together to deliver optimal performance.
  • Leverage your expertise to interpret complex electrical and system-level schematics for battery and energy storage systems, ensuring precision during installation and integration.
  • Provide technical support to ensure battery systems are operating at peak efficiency, troubleshooting performance issues and ensuring reliability.
  • Work closely with electrical engineers, software engineers, and project managers to ensure smooth system integration, installation, and long-term performance.
  • Maintain comprehensive system documentation and perform rigorous quality checks, ensuring compliance with specifications and high operational standards.
  • Assist with the planning and coordination of installation schedules and resource allocation to ensure timely and efficient project completion.

Key Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related field.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in electrical systems engineering or technical support, ideally in energy storage, battery systems, power conversion systems or related fields both locally and regionally.
  • Good interest and understanding of battery systems, energy storage technologies, electrical integration, Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) with a focus on optimizing overall system performance.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical schematics, knowledge of battery technologies (lithium-ion, NMC, LFP etc.), and experience in system-level troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical engineers, software teams, and project managers.
  • Strong data analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve system issues quickly, with a drive for innovation and continuous improvement in battery systems and ensure close loop feedback with design team.
  • A genuine interest in energy storage solutions and renewable energy technologies, with a keen desire to contribute to the growing battery technology industry.
