We are seeking a PostdoctoralResearch Fellow to contribute to a project focused on using neuralnetwork quantum states and advanced machine learning algorithms forsimulating realistic microscopic Hamiltonians for quantum spinliquid phases and other frustration driven quantum phases ininteracting spin systems, that cannot be efficiently simulatedusing conventional numericalapproaches.

KeyResponsibilities:
  • Constructrealistic microscopic model Hamiltonians relevant to real quantummagnets that can host quantum spin liquid states, focusing onKagome lattice antiferromagnets and the Kitaevmodel
  • Use neural network quantum states withdeep artificial neural network architectures to simulate suchHamiltonians
  • Construct experimentallyobservable properties of quantum spin liquidstates
  • Collaborate with experimentalists toidentify signatures of spin liquid states in candidatematerials
  • Extend to other frustration-drivennovel quantumphases


JobRequirements:
  • Ph.D. inPhysics or related field
  • Knowledge of quantummany body physics and quantum phasetransitions
  • Familiarity with neural networkquantum states and artificial neuralnetworks
  • Experience in collaborating withexperimentalists
  • Proficiency in computationalmethods
