Business Development Manager

As a Business Development Manager for Yard Services, you will report to the Regional Business Development Manager, APAC, and be responsible for driving growth in yard services, managing client relationships, and ensuring the client's competitive edge in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Keep track of vessel and rig movements, maintenance, and conversion projects across the APAC region. Identify potential clients and new opportunities in the yard services sector, and gather insights on the competitive landscape.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers, ensuring effective communication and outstanding service delivery for both existing and new clients.
- Work closely with internal teams to prepare tailored, competitive proposals that meet client requirements and align with Client's services.
- Generate new business and drive revenue growth by executing strategies aligned with group targets. Prepare high-quality proposals and presentations that address client needs.
- Represent the client at industry events and build a network across the APAC region to promote the company and gain market insights.
- Keep detailed records of business activities, sales pipelines, and client interactions in the CRM system. Provide regular updates to senior management on key wins, progress, and areas for improvement.
What We're Looking For:
- A degree in business management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 5 years in business development, sales, or a related role within the oil & gas, shipyard, or marine construction sectors. 8 years of experience in the SEA region is a plus.
- Strong understanding of the marine, oil & gas, construction, and ship repair markets, especially shipyard and fabrication services. Familiarity with offshore drilling, AHTS, OCV, and OSV movements is essential.
- Experience in tendering and proposal preparation is key, as well as proficiency in market research, sales pipeline management, and CRM systems. You should be able to create presentations tailored to clients' needs.
- You need to be a self-starter with excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment is crucial.
Other Details:
- This role requires frequent travel across APAC and the company's locations to meet with clients and attend industry events.
- You will be working with diverse cultures and managing relationships with international clients, so a flexible, open-minded approach is important.
