Reporting to the Head of Sales, Domestic, you will lead our engineering department and be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and improvement of existing service levels that will serve our clients and business well. You will provide engineering support for Industrial and Automotive aftermarket businesses and direct OEM customers, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitment, and goals.


Duties & Responsibilities:

• Act as resident technological expert advisor for our products to all departments
• Liaise with sales departments to identify technical requirements and develop solutions
• Provide engineering support and services to regional offices, distribution channels, OEMS and end-user
• Conduct product presentations and practical training seminars for internal staff as well as customers, channels, management, and others
• Maintain positive customer relationships
• Adapt applications that effectively accomplish customer objectives and user needs
• Connect with customers to analyze user experience and gain constructive feedback
• Perform hands-on on-site troubleshooting and services
• Investigate demands in specific industries
• Maintain an expert level of product knowledge and application


Tasks Include:

1) Develop Applications:
Application Engineers are responsible for designing, developing, and implementing programs and applications. They must be able to do customer analysis to create applications that respond to customer needs and provide innovative solutions to common problems.
2) Provide Technical Support:
Application Engineers must provide customers with ongoing technical support from application start-up through the warranty period. This support includes responding to customer issues, performing installation for customers, and working with the customer service team.
3) Assess Customer Base:
To design and re-design effective applications, Application Engineers must acquire and analyze customer needs and problems, making recommendations to the engineering team to satisfy needs, develop solutions, and generate ideas for products that fill gaps in the current market.


The Successful Applicant:

• Minimum Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• 3 – 4 years experience (in Engineering/Manufacturing/Heavy Industry) preferred. Knowledge of rotary and linear bearings would be an advantage
• Strong interest and customer-oriented mindset
• Organized, structured, analytical, presentable, professional, as well as self-driven and motivated
• Adept and effective communicator
• Computer literacy is a must
• Ability to handle customers' issues tactfully and professionally
• Demonstrating project management abilities
