Roles & Responsibilities

Hiring for a skilled Full Stack Developer, with strong background in the oil and gas industry, particularly within energy trading operations to join the dynamic team of our global MNC client, one of the biggest companies in the world. If you are based in Singapore and possess the required skills, I would love to connect.

Ideal Candidate: Will have a strong background in the oil and gas industry, particularly within energy trading operations. They should possess excellent front-end and back-end development skills, with a focus on creating and maintaining scalable, high-performance applications that drive trading operations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as the candidate will need to collaborate effectively with both internal and external customers. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate innovative and analytical thinking, with the ability to manage their workload under time pressure and changing priorities. Adaptability and a willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies are key traits for success in this role.

Mandate Skills and Qualifications:

  • Front-end Technologies: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular.
  • Back-end Development: Strong skills using Node.js, Python, or similar languages.
  • Web Application Development: Experience developing and maintaining web applications using modern frameworks and technologies.
  • Code Quality: Ability to maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
  • Database Management: Experience with SQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
  • Cloud Services: Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Oil and Gas Industry Experience: Highly desirable, particularly within energy trading operations.
  • Market Data and Trading Systems: Understanding of market data, trading systems, and financial instruments related to oil and gas.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: 3+ years of software development experience.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in technologies or methodologies are a plus.
  • Database and Data Pipelines: Proven experience in building, operating, and supporting robust databases and data pipelines.
  • SQL Proficiency: Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems.
  • Data Modeling & Optimization: Solid understanding of data modeling, indexing, and query optimization techniques.
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python preferred).
  • Front-end Frameworks: Experience with front-end frameworks/libraries (React preferred).
  • Full-stack Development: Helpful if experienced in full-stack development.
  • Databricks and Snowflake: Experience is a plus.
  • Web Performance & Security: Solid understanding of web performance optimization, security, and best practices.
