JOB SCOPE AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are looking for a Credit Controlling Manager who will join our Finance team based in Singapore.

As Singapore Credit Controlling Manager you would strictly collaborate and report to the Singapore Finance Manager and Regional Credit Controlling Manager in managing all credit controlling functions for to achieve key financial and credit controlling objectives.

This involves aspects from coordinating with other departments such as sales, customer service and finance to handle all credit related matters appropriately as well as develop and implement effective credit control policies and procedures to minimize credit risk and improve collection efficiency.

The Credit Controller Manager would directly manage 2 resources to help him/her achieve objectives.


Here some of the responsibilities you will have:

  • Managing and supervising a team of controllers to achieve targets on Overdue and Collections.
  • Building effective business relationships with internal and external customers to maximize cash collection whilst minimizing risks
  • Investigation and resolution of credit risks and problem accounts, reviewing and managing issues and significant transactions
  • Ensuring that the company credit policy is adhered to including monitoring the application of appropriate credit limits and the risk profile of customers
  • Support the Credit Control Team at preparing monthly reports on aged debt, overdue debt, DSO, cash flow, credits processed and provision for losses
  • Define payments plan agreements with the sales team when necessary preparing ad hoc reporting in line with the needs of the business
  • Producing accurate and timely management accounts, journal preparation, identifying and correcting mis posts, variance analysis and insightful commentary by identifying cost drivers and behaviours
  • Support on master data management
  • Support the Shared Service Center for the reconciliation of the payments with the invoices
  • Indirect reporting to Regional Head of Credit in matters relating on Credit, Collections.


CANDIDATE PROFILE:

  • People Manager with a relevant qualification in a business-related discipline, or equivalent demonstrable experience in Accounting, Finance or Credit Controlling
  • Credit control knowledge
  • Experience in investigation & resolution of credit risks and problem accounts, in cooperation with clients
  • Accounts receivable experience
  • Fluent English – Chinese preferred
  • Microsoft Office, SAP, QlikView office knowledge preferred
  • Communication & cooperation skills
  • Agility and willingness to proactively solve problem
