We are looking to hire a Storage Engineer to support our client in Singapore which is a top global investment bank. You will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the storage infrastructure to ensure the secure, efficient, and reliable storage of critical data assets with the following responsibilities:


Storage Infrastructure Management:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain storage solutions, including SAN (Storage Area Network), NAS (Network Attached Storage), and DAS (Direct Attached Storage) systems.
  • Configure and optimize storage arrays, switches, and storage management software.
  • Monitor storage performance, capacity, and availability, and proactively address issues to maintain optimal performance levels.

Data Protection and Disaster Recovery:

  • Implement and manage data protection strategies, including backup, replication, and snapshot technologies.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and participate in regular testing exercises to ensure business continuity.
  • Security and Compliance:
  • Enforce security best practices for storage systems and data access controls.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as GDPR, CCPA, and industry standards like PCI DSS and SOC 2.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, system administrators, and application developers, to integrate storage solutions into the overall IT infrastructure.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for storage-related issues, including incident response and root cause analysis.

Documentation and Training:

  • Maintain accurate documentation of storage configurations, procedures, and policies.
  • Conduct training sessions and knowledge sharing activities to educate team members on storage technologies and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise storage solutions.
  • Possess at least 3 years of relevant hands-on experience with storage technologies, such as EMC/Isilon, NetApp, Dell EMC, Pure Storage, etc.
  • Proficiency in storage protocols and technologies, including Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS, and CIFS/SMB.
  • Strong understanding of data protection methodologies, backup/recovery solutions, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Familiarity with security principles and compliance requirements related to storage systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Relevant certifications, such as EMC Storage Administrator (EMCSA), NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA), or equivalent, are a plus.
