Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our organization's network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure high levels of network performance, availability, and security to meet the needs of our growing business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deploy functional networks, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and wireless solutions.
  • Configure and install network hardware (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls) and software.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Perform regular system upgrades to ensure security and efficiency.
  • Manage and maintain network configurations, documentation, and diagrams.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to implement network solutions that align with business goals.
  • Implement and maintain network security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and access control policies.
  • Conduct periodic network assessments and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Provide technical support and training to team members and end-users as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF) and services.
  • Hands-on experience with network hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, or similar).
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, or Wireshark).
  • Knowledge of firewall configurations and network security best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
  • Experience with cloud networking solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible or Python for network scripting.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
