Roles & Responsibilities

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with other member of multi-disciplinary Engineers to review load profiles and design the Energy Storage System to meet load profiles requirements set out in the technical requirements;
  • Developing, maintaining and updating engineering standards;
  • Ensuring compliance with Company quality program;
  • Provide recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection;
  • Perform complex engineering calculations following standard methods and principles;
  • Independently applies advanced engineering techniques and analysis problems and methods;
  • Provides technical support to Sales and Marketing or Business development;
  • Supports multiple projects on the complex technical challenges;
  • Develops and applies advanced engineering concepts and approaches to unique engineering problems
  • Develop battery container layouts and coordinate with electrical, civil and PV engineering team for complete packages for installation;
  • Develop single-line and three-line diagrams with required electrical details for the battery system in accordance with local codes and requirements;
  • Model energy storage system performance, coordinate, obtain and integrate BMS, EMS and SCADA designs for the battery system from third party monitoring companies;
  • Develop technical specifications and scopes of work for owners, engineering firms and contractors.
  • Designs for different types of battery enclosure type solutions like cabinet type, container type, building type storage solution;
  • Identify and quantify energy conservation opportunities associated with Batteries / PCS / HVAC / FFS for different enclosure systems;
  • Investigates design factors such as but not limited to the function, durability, performance, efficiency, and contractual requirements;
  • Other scope of work to be assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the areas of Renewable Energy Systems, preferably with a specialisation in power systems, Solar PV, Battery Storage, Wind Energy Systems;
  • Minimum Degree in Engineering or equivalent;
  • Knowledgeable and experience on the different parameters for design, selection, and sizing of the batteries as well leveraging the parameters to optimise sizes of the batteries;
  • Experience on Battery Energy Storage System design, chemistry selection, performance modelling, lifetime estimation simulations of batteries, degradation and augmentation schedules, visualization of business model (duty cycle) would be advantageous;
  • Experience in design of battery system sizing;
  • Strong project management skills and experience in an international, multicultural environment;
  • Experience as a user of the AutoCAD
