The Department of Child Development provides specialistdiagnostic and intervention services to preschoolers who havedevelopmental, emotional, and/or behaviour needs. We supportchildren with a range of conditions such as autism, speech andlanguage disorders, global developmental delay, Attention DeficitHyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), anxiety, selective mutism,oppositional defiant disorders. We place high emphasis on workingwith the child's family to facilitate the child's learning anddevelopment.

Jobdescription

You will be part of amultidisciplinary team of doctors, psychologists, occupationaltherapists, speech language therapists, education therapists,nurses and social workers. You will provide assessments fordiagnosis of autism, intervention recommendations and educationalplacements. You will provide evidence-based psychologicalinterventions to manage mood, anxiety and behavioural issues, andwork across disciplines to deliver transdisciplinary services. Youwill have opportunities to be involved in research and serviceprojects.

JobRequirements
  • At leasta Master Degree in Psychology (Clinical /Educational) withpracticum component
  • Eligible for SingaporePsychological Society (SPS) full membership
  • Eligible for registration with the Singapore Register ofPsychologists (SRP)
  • Effective interpersonalskills, verbal communication skills, and good psychological reportwriting skills
  • Ability to work independentlyas well as in a team, and in a fast paced environment
  • Preferably with working experience with young children(i.e., toddlers and preschoolers) and/or with children withautism.
