The Role:

Treasury Market Support

  • To be involved in various Head Office and Branch ongoing projects e.g. IFRS9, BCBS239, IRRBB, Basel interface, FRTB and UAT testing
  • To help coordinate the department’s involvement in various working groups relating to Compliance / Risk matters but not limited to Operation Risk, Market Risk, Liquidity Risk, New Product Risk and Compliance Risk
  • To help coordinate the department’s response to internal / external / regulator audit and enquiry
  • To assist in the preparation, coordination and implementation of annual drill tests e.g. BCP/DR drill, Cyberattack Drill and LOLR drill
  • To assist the department in matters relating to Branch’s local ALCO meetings, MTN Program, Bank Committed Lines, ISDA, VM CSA and GMRA documentation.
  • To assist in keeping Treasury Operational Manuals updated and in compliance with the latest applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for the department BAU processes. i.e. input / maintenance of various published / interbank / COF / TRFD rates into various systems and preparation of MIS reports
  • To assist the department with New Product initiatives and also matters relating to IT infrastructure support
  • To provide general administrative and logistic support to the department

Treasury Sales Services

  • To provide execution, product and pricing support to the Branch’s Business Units for all approved Treasury products
  • To prepare market commentaries (Mainly FX and interest rates) for Business Unit and clients
  • To cover treasury market support functions as and when required including maintenance of proper records of all clients’ orders and other ad-hoc duties/projects the team may be assigned from time to time
  • To participate in co-marketing / visits with Corporate Business Units’ RMs with respect to the cross selling of CCS, IRS and FX-related products as and when required
  • To comply with all applicable regulations, rules, codes, guidelines and standards set by regulators and the Bank, and carry out duties with high integrity; and to adhere to all established risk control guidelines, procedures and measures to identify, assess, report, mitigate and monitor the risks involved in the day-to-day work

Qualification and Experience:

Candidates shall possess: -

  • A recognised tertiary education with 1 to 2 years of working experience in the banking field
  • Knowledge of treasury products such as FX Spot, FX Forwards, FX Swap, FX Options, NDF, IRS, CCS, bonds and securities would be an added advantage
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in both written and verbal English. Proficiency in Chinese would be an added advantage.

Candidates who are currently registered Representatives (RNF) and in possession of CMFAS 1A/1B, 5 and 6/6A, qualification will be preferred.
