Job Description:


Seeking an experienced and strategic manager of Product management to join our team in Singapore for our BFSI Customers. This is a new role where you will lead and shape our product strategy, manage a team of product owners as well as product partners, and drive the development and enhancement of our cutting-edge solutions for technology delivery as well as business operations improvements.

Ideal candidate should have spent at least 15 years in customer facing role across various geographies with about 5+ years of experience in identifying opportunities for digital products and building those digital products for customers across Industries. This person must have a problem-solving mindset for our BFSI customers that results in either building a product or sourcing a suitable product from the market in banking as well as Insurance industry.

The role requires a candidate who has excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills for working with a team to interpret large amounts of data. This is a customer-centric role, working to translate the needs of users into digital business opportunities.

Objectives of this role

  • Drive strategies and long-term vision to build best-in-class digital products
  • Conduct user research and usability studies, collaborating with designers, developers, and research teams throughout the process
  • Craft a product vision (short- and long-term) and convert it to concrete strategy
  • Drive business growth by building domain-centric business application using latest technology for our customers.
  • Participate in market research, validation, and white space analysis to identify opportunities for new or existing features and functionalities
  • Partner with business owners and agile product teams to build roadmaps that will be reflected in the company's broader portfolio planning

Responsibilities

As a manager, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our offerings align with customer needs and market trends while maintaining Virtusa’s commitment to innovation and excellence.

In this role you will be covering/need to have:

Product Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with company’s vision, goals and market demands. Partner with executive team to identify key capabilities needed as well as potential issues

Team Leadership: Lead, mentor and manage a team of product managers, business analyst, alliance managers to work with internal as well as partner products to cater to customer’s need.

Market Analysis

Conduct in-depth market research through various sources to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes, and use these inputs to drive product innovation.

Product Positioning:

Work with product marketing to develop positioning and messaging and ensure differentiation from competitors

Customer Focus:

Ensure that customer’s challenges and pain points are addressed through right product development.

Cross Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with engineering, design, commercial and marketing team to delivery exceptional products and solutions. . Partner regularly with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on feature development and prioritization.

Roadmap Planning

Partner with IT to manage roadmap and backlog for all digital products/ Solutions, ensuring that IT delivers capabilities on time and per expectation. Also, monitor and evaluate product performance to facilitate continuous iteration and improvement.

Quality Assurance

Oversee requirements discovery, solution design, userstory writing, exception handling, building necessary automation, feature development, and user acceptance testing.

Compliance

Stay informed about industry regulations and standards which includes, MAS, RBI, IRDAI regulations.
