Roles & Responsibilities

Technical Business Analyst (Avaloq)Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define business requirements, identify dependencies and constraints, and prioritize needs across different stakeholder groups.
  • Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and development teams by translating functional and technical requirements effectively.
  • Convert user stories and pain points into detailed technical specifications and collaborate with development teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Provide clear business requirements to enable developers to estimate efforts and align priorities based on stakeholder inputs.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the domain, advising business users on best practices and optimal solutions.
  • Design innovative solutions while adhering to established standards, guidelines, and processes.
  • Conduct end-to-end technical impact analysis and lead requirement-gathering sessions, proposing alternative solutions where necessary.
  • Validate user requirements, ensuring feasibility and supporting business users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and post-implementation phases.
  • Review test cases, troubleshoot requirement/implementation issues, and assist in resolution.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and proof of concept (PoC) before project inception.
  • Plan and facilitate project inception workshops to define operational vision, scope, constraints, and stakeholder expectations.
General Requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting and specifying business and technical requirements.
  • Experience in facilitating requirement elicitation sessions with stakeholders.
  • In-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Avaloq development and/or system design.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Avaloq system analysis.
  • Proven ability to analyze and resolve complex technical and analytical problems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to break down complex scenarios.
  • Solid business domain knowledge in wealth management products and processes.
  • Ability to independently conduct technical impact analysis and resourcefully gather necessary information.
  • Understanding of technology infrastructure and conducting interface analysis to achieve business goals.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Self-driven, motivated, and proactive in problem resolution.
Technical Requirements
  • Avaloq Certification as a Parameterization Specialist.
  • Ability to conduct proof of concept (PoC) in Avaloq.
  • Advanced process modeling skills, including flow diagrams and UML diagramming.
  • Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, Python, and/or advanced Excel Macros.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong knowledge of API design, documentation, and testing.
  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies and tools for collaboration and issue management.
  • Knowledge of Tableau or Power BI (preferred).
  • Experience with Test Master (preferred).
  • Technical development background with experience in at least one programming language outside of Avaloq (preferred).
