Roles & Responsibilities

The Youth Work Associate is responsible for conducting the engagement and preventive activities to the clients and/or caregivers in an individual or group-based setting.

He/She will be working closely with the Social Worker and Counsellor/Case Worker in the planning and implementation of these activities, as well as to monitor clients' condition and progress.

He/She also provides the daily administrative and operational support to the team, for the purpose of programme's service development and implementation.

He/She will organise the logistics &/or resources to ensure the smooth running of the programme. The Youth Work Associate may also be involved in counselling support work, coordinating outreach events and activities, where required.

The major responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

A. Programme Development Implementation:

  • Provide support to clients in various aspect of their development. This include providing guidance, support and creating safe space for them to explore their interest and address any challenges they may face.
  • Support Senior Counsellors, Counsellors, Social Workers in their care plans with clients, encourage and promote personal growth, social skills and emotional-well-being of clients.

B. Administration and Staff Development:

  • Provide administrative or logistical support to the team in running client-related support and/or other programme's activities.
  • Assist in coordinating and engagement events with other community partners and agencies.
  • In-charge of timely data collation and quarterly report submission, as well as generate reports, in accordance with the programme.
  • Store and maintain data and documents, in accordance with the programme requirement, as well as the prevailing personal data protection and security guidelines.
  • Coordinate the team training schedule, in consultation with the Team Lead or Manager of the Programme.
  • Ensure attendance in training and supervision sessions, where relevant, as part of the staff competency required by the programme.

C. Other Duties:

  • Prepare the necessary resource material to be provided to clients and caregivers.
  • Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • · Diploma /NITEC / Certificate in counselling, social work, psychology or any related allied health profession
  • · Entry level or 1-2 years relevant working experience
  • · Fresh graduate is welcome to apply
