What you’ll doThe IM Principal Business Analyst for Front Office is responsible for delivering IM business analysis services in support of strategic programs and business initiatives for the marketing business unit. In this role, you will act as a product owner and drive the design of new enhancements of solutions and being responsible of adapting software functionality to continuous business improvement initiatives.The IM Principal Business Analyst for Front Office is responsible of developing a structured concept to maintain a knowledge data base accessible to the internal IM Team.The scope of work will vary in magnitude from working on discreet business processes, supporting complex enterprise-level programs, and running mid- to large-sized projects.Performance & DeliveryEvaluate and put into practice improvement and business transformation initiativesImplement strategies to improve efficiencyAnalyse and re-engineer business processes, utilizing an understanding of business problems and solutions as they relate to the current and future business environment, in support of strategic initiativesCommunicate and collaborate with stakeholders to elicit detailed business requirements using a variety of techniques, including interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process workflows, prototypes, storyboards, and use case scenariosMentor and guide project team membersProvide subject matter expertise to support business requirement definition, process design, implementation of processes, organizational changeEvaluate business requirements, decompose high-level information into functional requirements, validate that requirements are based on business needs rather than user preferences, reconcile conflicts, and then document the functional requirementsBuild collaborative relationships with stakeholders and with external vendors to achieve project goalsSet and continuously manage customer expectations to ensure clarity of communicationConduct presentations of proposals or plan for company executivesQualifications

What we’re looking forAn undergraduate qualification (bachelor's degree or equivalent), ideally in a business degree (Computer Science, Management).Desirable: It would be advantageous to have a post graduate qualification in a relevant discipline OR a proven track record of extensive practical experience in a role and context of similar complexityRole-specific knowledge:Physical commodity trading / metals & mining domain knowledgeGood grasp of:

Physical Trade Life Cycle (Front to Back)Physical contract capture (including complex pricing models)Financial contract capture (Exchange Cleared and OTC)Trade Integration (from Exchange to CTRM systems)Contract confirmation and matching processMarket Data Management

Driving improvements and implementation of the Front Office specific reporting tools across commoditiesUnderstanding of intercompany activities (transfer pricing)Knowledge of End of Day Processes and MtM ValuationExposure to account treatments and month end processes - desirableBack office and ERP (SAP) integration - desirableFunctional knowledge of CTRM solutions (specific Aspect, systems knowledge – desirable)Additional Information
