Job Overview:

You will be involved in primary research and responsible for reaching out to fund managers based in the Asia Pacific region to build relationships and obtain valuable proprietary information. This information consists of investment activities and preferences, fundraising and performance. This is a unique research role, requiring a sales-like mindset to unlock research relationships across the region. The role will also include handling data inquiries, quality assurance, data monitoring for consistency and client engagement regarding our Preqin Pro platform. The role will be based in Singapore.


In this role you will be:

  • Proactively communicating and building relationships with key professionals of all levels within the alternative assets industry to obtain valuable proprietary information on past, current and future investment activities including historic performance
  • Holding regular meetings with APAC-based fund managers to gain fundraising and performance data
  • Working actively alongside the APAC sales team to build strategic research relationships with fund managers and other key regional associations
  • Representing Preqin at conferences and networking events
  • Updating Preqin’s online database with key financial information, statistics and analysis
  • Conducting bespoke statistical analysis for clients
  • Liaising with our teams in North America and EMEA, as well as collaborating with other departments in the company, to deliver requests and provide solutions
  • Supporting senior leaders on research projects and regional strategy regarding further data enhancement and development activities Contributing to research reports, blogs and publications occasionally Conducting supplementary public/web research where necessary

You are a good fit if:

  • Bachelor’s Degree holder required. Finance, Economics, Business or other industry relevant specialisation preferred
  • Fresh Graduates welcome Internship or up to 2 years of working experience in a finance related or communicative role would be very helpful
  • Prior relevant experience in finance/alternative assets preferred Enthusiastic and confident individuals with an eye for detail @ Preqin Strictly private and confidential
  • Strong communications skills necessary to build relationships with high-level executives
  • Willing to take initiatives with analytical skills Qualifications are not as essential as experience. If you feel you have work examples and projects that illustrate what we need, we’re happy to have a conversation
