Roles & Responsibilities

Job Scope:

Marine Technician:

  • Inspecting and maintaining fire safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, alarms, detection systems, and sprinkler systems
  • Conducting regular testing to ensure equipment is working correctly and meets regulatory standards
  • Replacing and repairing equipment that is damaged or faulty
  • Providing advice on fire safety procedures and practices to crew members
  • Investigating and analyzing causes of fire-related incidents
  • Collaborating with other crew members to develop emergency response plans and evacuation procedures
  • Providing training to crew members on fire safety and emergency response procedures

Marine, Liferaft Technician

  • Inspect and repair life rafts and safety gear to make sure they work properly.
  • Keep records of what you do and ensure everything meets safety rules.
  • Be ready to help when ships need their safety equipment serviced or replaced.

Requirement:

  • Minimum Nitec in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical/Marine/Mechatronic Engineering OR related studies
  • Preferably candidate with at least 2-year experience
