Roles & Responsibilities

Accounting and Financial Reporting

Coordinate accounting and produce financial reports, cash-flow statements, profit projections and yearly audit

  • Manage day-to-day matters of the Accounting and Finance department such as payroll, invoicing, accounts receivables, payables and other transactions
  • Review month-end and annual closing activities and reporting, including tracking and reporting of monthly variances.
  • Quickly flag out issues that require Management's attention.
  • Manage and lead the finance team to ensure timely and accurate month-end closing and year-end closing reporting
  • Oversee and provide guidance to accounting team in operational finance matters to ensure compliance to internal controls, accounting standards, legal and statutory requirements (including corporate tax and GST reporting matters)
  • Responsible for budget planning and cash flow planning (i.e., closely monitor operating cashflow and present during the monthly HOD meeting)
  • Responsible for tracking the financial performance of the company and its subsidiaries
  • Responsible for the full set of accounts of Fuheng Engineering Sdn Bhd
  • Facilitate and provide information to auditors and tax agent for the completion of income tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs, as necessary
  • Seek out methods for minimising financial risk to the company, analyse financial reports
  • Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making
  • Review and update financial policies and procedures for the company
  • Prepare Financial Statements and coordinate with auditors for the yearly audit
  • Year-end passing of audit entries into accounting system
  • Undertake any other duties assigned by the Management

Human Resource Management and Planning

  • Perform monthly management payroll accounting
  • Calculation of leave balances and provision
  • Periodic review of HR policies and update the policies when required
  • Oversee planning and roll out of various HR initiatives
  • Coordinate and manage the HR hiring process for office staff (i.e. advertising job position, interviewing candidate, preparing employment contract, and onboarding)
  • Main in-charge for the employee onboarding programme

Ability to use Accounting and HR software (such as SAP, Infotech preferred)

Understand MOM Regulations and Employment Laws

Understanding Business Law and Legislations

Minimum 6-years of experience in accounting and financial reporting function; and

Minimum 2-years of experience in a managerial role

Prior experience in the construction industry preferred

Good communicator and team player and leader
