JOB PURPOSE

The primary objective of this position is to support Business Development to win and retain

customers by offering industry-leading solutions design and improving customers’ supply chain

operations. This role will also provide support to country operations to improve operational

efficiency/productivity and financial performance through the application of industry-leading tools

and best practices.


ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Solutioning Engineering

  • Provide Solutions engineering support to the regional business development teams in the sales process to win business through innovative Solutions for the organization and to meet revenue and margin objectives.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of client’s operations, develop optimal and wellconceptualized logistics solutions, and work with regional BD, key accounts and country sales team to develop detailed proposals including solution design, cost models, process flow simulation, and other logistics factors within customer defined timelines.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to develop pricing solutions and perform profit and loss analysis for customer business opportunities based on AOE solutions template/tools.
  • Develop supply chain capabilities in the automotive, consumer, industrials and retail industry, and replicate these capabilities across regions.
  • Lead cross regional, multi-services solution designs covering CLS and LTS. This includes but not limited to develop detailed proposals with clear solutions of the 4 supply chain flows – Physical, Information, Documentation and Financial in addressing customer’s supply chain pain-points, by solution design against it leveraging our organization products and strength.
  • Support Asia Solutions Engineering team for large RFPs when required.
  • Develop cost & pricing models, process flows, and other logistics factors within customer RFX defined timelines based on AOE solutions template/tools.
  • Provide guidance and training to country Solutions Engineers to ensure compliance to AOE solutions standards in APLL response and analysis in perform pricing, costing and profit and loss analysis e.g. breakeven point of the proposed solutions.
  • Conduct handover to country team upon award of business.
  • Deliver competitive, timely and complete RFQ/RFP proposals to increase win rates.
  • Integrate advanced technologies to streamline and automate our customers' logistics processes. This includes leveraging transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and other software solutions to optimize inventory management.
  • Lead Warehouse/CFS material handling automation to improve productivity, operation efficiency, process and space optimization to achieve CPU and/Or CTS reduction targets.
  • Perform route optimization study to support transportation team on strategic development.

Data and Statistical Analysis

  • Regular interaction with Country Operations Management and Customers for the purpose of gathering, validating and documenting operational requirements.
  • Conducts systematic in-depth research and analysis into cost, productivity and operational performances across the region.
  • Initiates, defines and leads the development and communication of effective operational performance reports to key stakeholders, including executive/senior management.
  • Facilitate development of new analytics solutions to address existing gaps in analytics tools.

Process Improvement and Change Management

  • Ensures team awareness of current processes and procedures, and relevant Company and regulatory requirements, which may impact the operation or department. Takes steps to ensure any changes are implemented.
  • Ensures completion of audit and reviews of existing processes or documentation to ensure appropriate standards and rules are applied.
  • Manage the identification and facilitate the implementation of process improvement initiatives to ensure minimal disruption of business operations during transition period
  • Facilitate development of specific risk mitigation strategies for critical business operations
  • Identify issues, risks and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outline business impacts
  • Works collaboratively with operations teams to formulate solutions to operations issues and challenges
  • Simplify information and decipher technical jargon so it is easily understood by the whole team.

Project Implementation

  • Support to organize business requirements workshop between Customer teams and internal stakeholders. Analyze and summarize relevant information to support the workshop.
  • Define and operationalize the process flow (receiving, put-away, warehouse zoning, replenishment & picking strategy)
  • Follow-up IT developments and set-up/configuration with internal IT teams
  • Coordinate with country operations/procurement teams for suppliers’ selections and site renovation/installation
  • Follow-up on the management of project: Resources (both operational recruitment and resources allocated to the project), Costs and budget follow-up, Schedule and on-time milestones / delivery, Deliverables.
  • Organize and report advancement with internal and external customers

QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Operations Research, Engineering, Supply Chain and Logistics Management or related field

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 5 years of working experience in a similar role in the logistics industry, with a focus in operation analysis, planning, warehouse and transport management solutions design
  • Excellent project implementation and management skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Proven ability to understand and analyse problems and find solutions
  • Good analytical and communication skills
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Proficiency in analytical, project management, presentation, designing and optimization tools
  • Use of engineering tools Autocad, CAPS, llama soft Supply Chain Guru
  • Experience and knowledge in sketch up drawing is preferred
  • Good teamwork and technical leadership, creativity, and resourcefulness
  • Effective stakeholder engagement, including but not limited to ability to present findings and recommendations to senior leaders and to manage stakeholder meetings
