[What the role is]

In this role, you will be supporting the Diploma in Architecture. You should be conversant with architectural design and sustainability in the built environment. You should be proficient in industry standards and also interested in exploring architectural design, process and deliverables using emerging trends and technology. You are required to guide learners and inculcate a holistic learning culture to the learners. Besides being passionate about teaching, you will be involved in curriculum design and development. You will also be involved in industry engagement, support overseas exchange, and be a mentor to our young learners.

[What you will be working on]

  • Course delivery to learners, encompassing curriculum development, course assessment, project supervision, and mentoring of learners, along with offering pre-, in-, and post-course advice.
  • Enhance the quality of lesson design and delivery through implementing appropriate teaching and learning strategies and methods.
  • Evaluate curriculum design, development, delivery, and assessment to enhance their effectiveness.
  • Spearhead and lead developmental initiatives and industry collaborations, including competitions.
  • Keep abreast of and respond to changing trends in the professional and educational landscape through active engagement with industry and professional bodies/communities.
  • Lead or represent in school committees and contribute to administrative/management tasks (i.e. outreach, learner recruitment, project management etc.) as and when required.
  • Review, formulate and implement processes in response to new initiatives/strategies set by the School/Dept.
  • Develop and deliver Continual Education Training (CET) programmes.

[What we are looking for]

  • Relevant qualification in Architecture or related Built Environment disciplines
  • At least 5 years of relevant industry experience in Architecture or related Built Environment disciplines.
  • People-oriented individual with strong interpersonal, written and communication skills.
  • Experience in BIM and Digital Delivery Management in project coordination and execution.
  • Self-driven, independent and possess readiness to work as a team.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and communication abilities to engage learners effectively.
  • Relevant experience in one or more of following:
    • Virtual Design Construction (VDC) with Common Data Environment (CDE)
    • Certified Green Mark Professional (GMAP)
    • Generative/Parametric Design using Rhino or equivalent
    • Generative AI in design process / delivery
