The Commis Cook/CDP is responsible for food preparation and maintaining kitchen standards at La Table D’ Emma. This role involves preparing ingredients, following recipes, and ensuring cleanliness and hygiene.

Chef De Partie/CDP

  • Plan and execute menus in collaboration with other colleagues
  • Manage ingredients that should be frequently available on a daily basis
  • Monitor stock levels, order supplies as needed, and ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients.
  • Follow the directions of the executive and sous chef
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant health, safety and hygiene standards
  • Suggest new ways of presentation of dishes and procedures for optimizing the cooking process
  • Give attention to the productivity of the kitchen such as speed and food quality

Commis Cook

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping and storing food
  • Wash, cut, and prepare ingredients according to recipes and kitchen requirements
  • Assist senior chefs as directed
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment, work stations, and overall kitchen environment

Requirements

  • Entry level candidates are welcome to apply (Commis Cook)
  • Be able to work in team based and fast paced environment
  • Recognized culinary academic qualifications will be an added advantage
  • Basic Food Hygiene
  • Positive attitude

5 Days work/week rostered, must be able to work weekends.

Time: 10.30am to 2.30pm and 5.30pm to 10.30pm (Split Shift)
