The Commis Cook/CDP is responsible for food preparation and maintaining kitchen standards at La Table D’ Emma. This role involves preparing ingredients, following recipes, and ensuring cleanliness and hygiene.
Chef De Partie/CDP
- Plan and execute menus in collaboration with other colleagues
- Manage ingredients that should be frequently available on a daily basis
- Monitor stock levels, order supplies as needed, and ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients.
- Follow the directions of the executive and sous chef
- Ensure adherence to all relevant health, safety and hygiene standards
- Suggest new ways of presentation of dishes and procedures for optimizing the cooking process
- Give attention to the productivity of the kitchen such as speed and food quality
Commis Cook
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping and storing food
- Wash, cut, and prepare ingredients according to recipes and kitchen requirements
- Assist senior chefs as directed
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment, work stations, and overall kitchen environment
Requirements
- Entry level candidates are welcome to apply (Commis Cook)
- Be able to work in team based and fast paced environment
- Recognized culinary academic qualifications will be an added advantage
- Basic Food Hygiene
- Positive attitude
5 Days work/week rostered, must be able to work weekends.
Time: 10.30am to 2.30pm and 5.30pm to 10.30pm (Split Shift)
