Job Description

  • Exciting opportunity to enter the world of sterile manufacturing by joining our team of technicians in Tuas responsible for producing life-saving cancer medications. This is a 2-year WDA contract at our Biotech facility.

Key responsibilities include:

As a technician, you will join a team involved in the manufacturing of medications in a sterile environment handling the filling of sterile vials. Each team consists of about 10 members working in shifts round the clock. We take pride in our diverse workforce with equal representation of both genders among technicians in Biotech.

Routine Operations

  • Set up and operate pharmaceutical production equipment such as high-speed filling lines for sterile injectables, robotic technology, compounding panels, and automatic CIP/SIP.
  • Dispense, formulate, and fill active biological product batches to meet production schedules.
  • Conduct routine QC sampling and in-process testing at various stages of manufacturing including bioburden sampling and water microbial sampling.
  • Perform microbial sampling and swabbing of rooms and equipment.
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of Grade C & D cleanrooms and production equipment.
  • Conduct filter integrity testing using an automatic unit.
  • Prepare equipment by loading and starting sterilization cycles in autoclaves.
  • Complete batch documentation as necessary.
  • Conduct in-process sampling on semi-finished drug products.
  • Perform visual inspection, labeling, and packaging of semi-finished drug products.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and maintain strict compliance with GMP at all times.

Incident and Exception Investigations

  • Report any incidents or deviations.
  • Participate in safety, business compliance, cGMP, and compliance matters when required.
  • Escalate operational issues to the Lead Tech or Shift Manager when necessary.

Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in Kaizen events in pharmaceutical operations as per assigned Kaizen plans.

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A Diploma or Technical School degree with a background in operations, maintenance, or related studies.
  • Willingness to work in a 24x7 rotating shift pattern.
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Good knowledge of safety procedures and practices.
