Purpose:
Ensure strict adherence to HSEQ policies and oversee safety in marine operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor Company and international HSEQ standards for fleet vessels.
  • Evaluate Tech managers' performance based on company indicators.
  • Act as a liaison between management and onboard personnel.
  • Conduct inspections and review documentation for safety and pollution prevention.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant rules, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders and contribute to safety campaigns.

Authorities:

  • Delegate authority to internal support functions.
  • Directly engage with external bodies and ship staff for task fulfillment.

Accountabilities:

  • Measure success against regional AOP objectives and performance assessments.
  • Timely reporting, efficient travel arrangements, and flexibility for job responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate initiative in developing work and taking on additional responsibilities.
  • Report and address conditions making a vessel unseaworthy promptly.

Requirements:

  • Master Mariner
  • Auditor training
  • Sea Service in a Senior Position for at least 5 years and/or equivalent shore based HSEQ experience
  • Strong understanding of HSEQ policies and international safety standards.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in marine operations, safety, and compliance management.
  • Ability to conduct inspections, investigations, and implement corrective actions.
  • Initiative, flexibility, and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.

Success Indicators:

  • Timely and effective implementation of safety measures.
  • Positive outcomes in Tech managers' performance and fleet compliance.
  • Efficient handling of safetyrelated concerns from onboard personnel.
  • Consistent adherence to regulations and standards.
  • Proactive approach in identifying and addressing potential risks.
