Here, we are focused on identifying and validating new drug targets, exploring innovative therapeutic modalities and leveraging clinical studies and patient–derived material to understand biomarkers of disease or therapeutic response to increase our understanding of human biology and to drive a therapeutic pipeline to address unmet medical needs. TITLE:

Intern, Biomarkers & Data Analytics

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

We are seeking a highly motivated intern to join our team and contribute to our efforts on AI-guided microdissection. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies, collaborate with a team of experienced scientists and engineers and utilize cloud-based platforms for computation and collaborate with a team of experienced scientists and engineers.

You can expect the following as an intern:

  • Conduct a comprehensive literature review on AI-guided microdissection techniques and the applications on various disease areas.
  • Support the team in developing workflow for AI-guided microdissection, including assisting with lab-related work (e.g. histology, protocol optimization, whole slide imaging, laser microdissection).
  • Perform image analysis and/or develop AI/ML algorithm for detection of relevant features
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as biologists, pathologists, and AI/ML experts on projects.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on project progress and findings.
  • Present findings and insights to the team and stakeholder

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Enrollment in an Undergraduate/Master's program leading to a Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Science, or Bioengineering; other programmes can be considered on individual merit
  • Took relevant courses and had hands-on experience on wet lab projects as well as dry lab projects related to Image Analysis, Machine Learning/Deep Learning.
  • Proficient with programming/scripting using MATLAB, Bash, Python etc and common libraries.
