Job Description:

Job Title: Sr. Financial Analyst Asia Pacific

Position Summary:

The Sr. Finance Analyst supports VP IT, VP Legal and Director FP&A for Thermofisher's APJ business. The role is responsible for Operating Expenses management and control for the APJ region and partners with the VPs for IT and Legal in the region. He / She works extensively with APJ & Country Function leaders and Country FP&A teams across APAC in terms of finance planning and analytical workstreams including:

  • Monthly Forecast
  • Monthly / Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Annual Operating Plan
  • 5 Year Strategic Plan
  • Strategic Initiatives and Projects
Job Requirement:
  • Manage and control APJ Operating Expenses to understand expense trends, identify risk and opportunities
  • Business partnering with Corporate IT and Corporate Legal Functions
  • Responsible for Capital budget management and consolidation
  • Provide timely analysis on spends in monthly financial reviews (vs Plan & prior periods)
  • Contribute as a Team Member on Consolidation, Analysis and Reporting of Spends /Strategic Plans/Annual Operating Plans
  • Co-ordinate and collate Plan activities and information from Country FP&A teams and business
  • Standardize Reporting Deliverables and communicate with Country FP&A teams
  • Streamline processes and improve operational efficiency
Qualifications/Requirement:
  • Bachelor's Degree in accountancy, Finance or equivalent
  • >5 years of relevant experience in FP&A in an MNC environment
  • Good analytical skills and highly proficient in excel
  • Capability of multi-tasking and prioritizing projects/tasks
  • Comfortable with communicating with senior management
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Result oriented, able to collaborate with multifunction teams and drive for results
