Training Leader

Essential Responsibilities:
- Provides expertise in analyzing learning needs, designing training solutions for a business or function.
- Focuses on technical training essential for a particular business or function, and does not include Leadership Learning.
- Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.
- Develops and leads business training council. Eg Company Training Committee
- Consults and works together in close partnership with HR, union and educational institutions/ bodies in terms of the development of hourly career framework.
- Leads training, development plans and frameworks across the business. For example, development of OJT training curriculm blueprint, training tracker.
- Ties in learning strategy to the business strategic workforce strategy planning and development.
- Conducts annual training needs analysis and ensures that it is being carried out/ implemented.
- Has knowledge of best practices and how one area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
- Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
- Acts as a resource for colleagues. May lead projects from time to time. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
- Support site wide training initiatives.
- Deployment of Covalent system for training tracking and administration
Qualifications / Requirements:
- This role requires advanced experience in Manufacturing environment & Training Design and Delivery. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor degree from an accredited university with 7 to 10 years or college diploma with rich in-depth relevant experience.
