What We're Seeking:
  • Looking for a skilled front-end engineer passionate about technology, eager to work on hands-on projects daily, crafting top-notch interfaces and experiences to safeguard customers against cyber threats.
  • Exciting opportunity to shape the future of cyber risk protection in the APAC region at Blackpanda. Ideal for individuals enthusiastic about developing applications, architecture, and products using cutting-edge technologies. While a background in cyber security is beneficial, it's not mandatory. However, expertise in creating exceptional web-based interfaces is a must.
  • Reporting to the CTO, you'll be tasked with translating business issues and UX/UI designs into engineered solutions. Collaboration is key within our cross-functional engineering team, emphasizing problem-solving through planning and discussion before diving into coding.
  • Must have the ability to grasp new processes and design system architectures based on high-level requirements. Proficiency in Vue or React, along with RESTful and/or GraphQL-based API practices, is crucial.
About the Role:
  • Cash: Salary ranges from USD$108,000 to SGD$134,640 or HKD$830,000, depending on the location of employment, with no additional bonuses or commissions.
  • Rewards: Employees receive ESOP participation and generous allocations. The role involves close collaboration with the CTO.
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Lead front-end development for at least two out of three upcoming products over the next year, covering various technology sectors.
  • Consult with business stakeholders, provide guidance on strategy, and assess technological challenges.
  • Participate in peer code reviews and drive engineering initiatives.
  • Ensure delivery of robust, tested, and maintainable code, impacting a large customer base.
  • Collaborate closely with the CTO in platform evaluation and decision-making.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Demonstrate test-driven development skills, prioritize elegant and maintainable solutions with clear documentation.
  • Cultivate a curious mindset, emphasizing continuous learning and a balanced approach to work.
  • Passionate about efficiency and teamwork, with strong communication skills.
  • Possess technical expertise, including years of professional engineering experience, proficiency in Javascript, Vue or React, CSS, API integration, and CI/CD processes.
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and/or substantial engineering experience.
