Singapore NUS Institute of Policy Studies Full time

The QC Assistant will support the QC Team in performing QC validation and data entry for survey projects. The position works under direct supervision and performs routine daily QC and administrative duties. On-the-job training will be provided..

The main responsibilities are:

  • Perform Quality Control (QC) checks to verify the validity of cases collected to ensure data has been collected in accordance with project specifications
  • Perform data entry and document responses to call validations
  • Re‐contact selected respondents according to a scripted checklist
  • Perform audio audits on collected survey recordings and data entry on a scoring sheet to evaluate the quality of data collected by surveyors
  • Using of software (SPSS or Excel) to perform data validation and updates on key variables to identify issues with data collection and data quality
  • Perform detailed data entry and scanning duties of collected forms for various projects
  • Provide timely feedback to the QC Team on the validation results and any discrepancies in collected data.
  • Perform detailed cleaning on collected data sets, identifying and correcting issues to ensure high quality data
  • Perform coding of answers to open‐ended (free response) questions with consistency according to specified parameters
  • Checking and testing of completed questionnaires with survey test link, to raise any discrepancies found.
  • Assist with other administrative duties as assigned by QC Team

Interested applicants must possess:

  • Must possess at least a Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing or listening to at least 2 languages (English + 1 or more of the following languages (Chinese, Malay, or Tamil))
  • Possess positive attitude and able to work independently
  • Possess strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Knowledge in SPSS software will be an advantage.
  • Must be meticulous and good with details
  • Ability to cope with pressure and tight timelines
  • Prior administrative experience preferred
