To support our team and drive the growth of our APAC business, we are looking for an International Consulting Principal to be based in Singapore or Hong Kong.

What to expect with us?

  • Exciting role in a lively international consulting team, advising multinational clients in the Asia Pacific region. You will play a key part in the team's success by providing and implementing international consulting solutions across different business sectors at Mercer.
  • Exposure to various employee benefit advisory areas such as health, flexible benefits, wellbeing, and retirement. You will assist major multinational clients in Asia Pacific in their benefits, employee experience, and engagement strategies.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Cultivate strong connections: Establish a robust network of internal relationships by collaborating with different stakeholders including the regional consulting team, country brokers, country retirement teams, cross-functional teams, and global international consulting groups. Externally, form partnerships with insurers and third-party service providers.
  • Manage regional consulting projects: Lead various regional consulting projects, such as multi-country projects, benefit and well-being strategy implementations, employee health data analytics, and retirement advisory. Effectively oversee timelines, act as a project manager, and ensure all involved parties are well-informed in a timely manner. Attend necessary internal and client meetings to provide guidance.
  • Initiate innovative programs: Identify, drive, and support pioneering initiatives. Stay abreast of employee benefit trends in the market, contribute to their development, and establish vendor collaborations that enhance our well-being, health, and retirement offerings. Prepare presentations for internal and client audiences to highlight benefit trends. Understand client issues and prioritize a customer-centric approach.
  • Enhance business growth: Promote our value propositions internally and externally to build a strong pipeline. Support all business development activities.

Your qualifications:

  • Consulting background: Minimum of 12 years in consulting roles related to health, global or regional benefits, and/or employee benefits.
  • Education: University degree in an analytical or business management field, preferably in Mathematics, Business Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
  • Domain expertise: Profound knowledge in corporate employee health, well-being, or retirement.
  • Communication and presentation prowess: Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Project and client management skills: Strong project and client management background.
  • Analytical proficiency: Exceptional analytical and numerical skills, with expertise in data interpretation and decision-making. Capable of visualizing trends, creating analytics reports, and effectively communicating insights.
  • Proactive and resourceful mindset: Self-starter with proactive and resourceful capabilities, possessing strong market research skills and the ability to absorb market knowledge effectively.
  • Critical thinking aptitude: Agile learner with strong critical and logical thinking skills.
  • Team player: Resourceful team player who thrives in managing tight deadlines and delivering client projects across multiple Asian markets. Able to collaborate in cross-functional teams and contribute actively to an innovative team culture.
  • Business acumen: Ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities globally and regionally.
  • Technical proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
