Singapore MDPI Singapore Full time

To strengthen our marketing team and build the market in Southeast Asia, we are looking for Marketing Specialist who are eager to stay connected to scientific research and promote academic publishing service in academic field.

The position of Marketing Specialist is a full-time position based in Singapore.

Responsibilities and Main Duties:

  • Strategize, execute, and oversee digital marketing campaigns spanning various social media platforms, email marketing, and display advertising.
  • Conduct thorough research on industry trends and competitor activities to inform and enhance marketing strategies and decision-making procedures.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, optimize campaigns, and generate reports for insight sharing.
  • Collaborate with the journal teams in the Editorial Department to orchestrate marketing initiatives across various journals in Singapore and Asia-pacific region (APAC) including promoting the journals on social media platforms, at academic conferences or scholar meetings.
  • Coordinate promotional marketing activities such as author training sessions or workshops at prominent universities and institutions in Singapore and the APAC region.
  • Provide support for scholar training and facilitate collaboration negotiations with leading universities and institutions in Singapore and the APAC region.
  • Represent the company at select academic conferences overseeing booth setup and taking responsibility for on-site operations.
  • Cultivate and sustain relationships with key scholars and academic media outlets in Singapore and APAC region.
  • Assist the line manager (marketing manager) and superiors in implementing new marketing initiatives or projects.
  • Address inquiries related to all services offered by MDPI Singapore
  • Provide administrative support in handling databases and logistics involved in clients outreach and promotional activities.

Requirements:

  • At least a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, or a related business discipline but Master degree preferred
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in marketing.
  • Proficiency in Digital Marketing is essential.
  • Previous exposure to client interactions or a client-facing role is beneficial.
  • Outstanding communication and written skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a dynamic, international setting.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Additional Information:

  • You must have the right to work and live in Singapore

As a successful candidate, you will receive full training in marketing work, working closely with worldwide colleagues in marketing department. Training supervised by an assigned tutor will take place on the job during the first six months. Depending on your background, you will be assigned to work on basic marketing projects. 2 years of relevant experience in marketing is required; however, a familiarity with the brand and communication is an advantage.
