Responsibilities:

  1. Schedule Coordination:Assist in scheduling kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and other kitchen personnel, to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.Communicate scheduling changes and updates to staff members in a timely manner.Coordinate with other departments, such as front-of-house staff, to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
  2. Inventory Management:Monitor inventory levels of food and kitchen supplies and place orders as needed.Receive and inspect deliveries to verify accuracy and quality.Maintain organized storage areas and rotate stock to minimize waste.
  3. Procurement Assistance:Follow up on delivery timelines to ensure timely receipt of goods.
  4. Documentation and Record-Keeping:Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, orders placed, and deliveries received.Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation required for regulatory compliance.Ensure all kitchen-related paperwork, including permits and licenses, is up-to-date and readily accessible.
  5. Health and Safety Compliance:Assist in implementing and enforcing health and safety protocols in the kitchen.Conduct regular inspections of kitchen areas to identify and address potential hazards.Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
  6. General Administrative Support:Provide administrative support to kitchen management, such as scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and responding to emails.Assist in maintaining kitchen budgets and expense reports.Perform other duties as assigned by kitchen management.
