Position: Management Trainee, Service

Working schedule: 5 days per week, inclusive of weekends

Overview: As a Management Trainee in our Japanese Soba Restaurant, you will undergo comprehensive training to handle front-of-house duties efficiently. You will primarily be responsible for customer service, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining general cleanliness in adherence to Japanese hospitality standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Service:
    • Greet customers warmly upon arrival.
    • Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction throughout their dining experience.
  2. Order Taking and Serving:
    • Take accurate orders from customers, noting any special requests or dietary requirements.
    • Communicate orders promptly to the kitchen staff.
    • Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently.
  3. Food and Beverage Knowledge:
    • Develop a thorough understanding of the menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods.
    • Be able to describe menu items and make recommendations to customers.
  4. General Housekeeping:
    • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
    • Collaborate with kitchen to ensure smooth operations.
  5. Training and Development:
    • Learn about Japanese hospitality principles (Omotenashi) and apply them in daily interactions.
    • Shadow experienced staff members to gain practical experience and insights.
