Pharmacy Assistant

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(A) SPECIFIC (100%)

1. Assists the pharmacist in the processing of medication orders for inpatient dispensing which includes typing, picking, packing, labeling and distribution of drug supplies to the wards and other hospital departments.
2. Ensures accurate record keeping of prescriptions.
3. Assists in providing quality customer service, e.g. through answering telephone enquiries.
4. Receives, unpacks and checks stocks against the appropriate documents to ensure that items supplied are correct and accounted for.
5. Arranges stocks onto their respective stock shelves in First-Expiry First-Out (FEFO) order.
6. Plans schedule and tops up medications generated by cart-fill orders.
7. Assists in monitoring and maintaining inventory of stocks in the areas of work.
8. Maintains the cleanliness of the pharmacy work areas by cleaning Pharmacy equipment, helping with maintenance of equipment and supplies and prepares work areas for daily operations.
9. Other duties as directed by the supervisors.
10. Supports the hospital by participating actively in the various activities organized by the hospital. Activities include QC, community projects, staff welfare and recreational activities and etc

(A) EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

• At least a GCE O level or Nitec or
• Part time Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences by RP and OJT training to be Pharm Tech will be provded
