Role Overview:

Singapore Land Authority is the leading geospatial agency in Singapore, responsible for managing and operating a user-friendly public map platform that delivers precise map data and location-based services (LBS) to various government agencies, businesses, and the general public.

We are seeking a skilled web application developer to join our dynamic and versatile engineering team to develop advanced and high-performing front-end solutions for the next era of mapping and LBS.

This role presents a fantastic opportunity to leverage cutting-edge web technologies for societal benefit and create a tangible real-world impact.


Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and backend engineers to design and build web applications in an agile environment.

Develop and manage scalable front-end code to transform product requirements into fully operational interfaces for desktop and mobile web browsers;

Explore new front-end technologies and prototype solutions to tackle challenges in big data visualization.

Requirements:
Preferably hold a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, GeoSpatial Science/Technology, or related field;

3-5 years of professional experience in web application development, including at least 1 year in Agile methodologies;

Proficient in JQuery, HTML5, CSS3, WebGL, popular JS frameworks (React JS, Vanilla JS), RESTful APIs, and cross-browser compatibility;

Desirable experience with open-source geospatial tools/libraries (e.g., leaflet, Cesium), databases (e.g., PostGres/GIS, MongoDB), and Cloud, Container/Docker technologies;

Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a team-oriented mindset.
