Assistant Project Engineer

Our Client:
Our client is a leading company in the Engineering industry in Japan, specializing in M&E Construction projects. They are looking for an Assistant Project Engineer (Mechanical) to join their team in Singapore.

The Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all M&E construction activities meet performance and procedures
  • Recommend improvements and corrective actions
  • Manage contractors focusing on quality, compliance with engineering drawings, applicable code and standards, project schedule, and cost
  • Collaborate with draftsmen and sub-contractors for the design, supervision, and installation of electrical systems, including testing and commissioning
  • Supervise site projects regarding logistics, installation, safety, subcontractors, quality, cost control, and reporting
  • Support Project Manager in implementing construction policies
  • Manage project activities for timely delivery and minimal wastage
  • Coordinate with internal departments, authorities, consultants, clients, and suppliers for project operations
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and laws while meeting business objectives
  • Participate in site meetings and provide progress reports to Management
  • Monitor project progress to meet safety, quality objectives, and ISO standards
  • Optimize manpower allocation for increased productivity

The Requirements:
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 3 years of experience
  • Experience in M&E Construction Industry is a plus
  • Initiative, independence, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of AutoCad and Primevera software is advantageous
