Job Purpose

To carry out Electrical, Mechanical, and Fire (EMF) line maintenance activities, investigate incidents/accidents, ensure safety compliance, and ensure quality assurance for maintenance requirements in line with SMRT Quality objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of Technical Officers (TO) for preventive and corrective maintenance on EMF equipment and systems in compliance with SMRT Quality and Safety procedures.
  • Plan and execute team maintenance work schedule effectively and efficiently.
  • Supervise repairs and upgrading works by minor work term contractors.
  • Attend to faults reported by Operations Command Centre (OCC) for EMF equipment.
  • Manage and maintain EMF systems in good operational condition.
  • Conduct briefing and tool box meetings for team members.
  • Ensure team TOs perform duties safely and efficiently.
  • Provide technical advice, information, and instructions to team TOs and keep all relevant records updated.
  • Assist Engineering Maintenance Manager (EMM) in engineering, safety analysis, investigations, and testing.
  • Supervise corrective maintenance, upgrading, modification, and major repair works by contractors as assigned.
  • Comply with safety procedures and conduct monthly team safety talks.
  • Perform rotating shift duties and driving duties.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality objectives in daily activities.
  • Undertake incidental tasks related to assigned work.
  • Review and update Task lists to meet work requirements.
  • Investigate and report accidents/incidents, propose preventive actions.
  • Follow Financial Procedures for Purchase Requisitions and Work Services.
  • Coordinate with LTA on maintenance for EMF equipment and Thomson East Coast Line Project.
  • Conduct site audit sessions for new staff on safety procedures and EMF equipment operation.
