As a DevOps Intern, you have the chance to get real hands-on experience in managing and optimizing our AWS cloud infrastructure. You will closely collaborate with our engineering team to aid in the deployment, automation, and upkeep of cloud-based applications and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Infrastructure Management:
    • Contribute to the design, deployment, and administration of AWS cloud infrastructure.
    • Monitor and manage cloud resources like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPCs.
    • Participate in crafting and handling Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Automation and Scripting:
    • Create and maintain automation scripts using languages like Python / Bash.
    • Aid in automating repetitive tasks to enhance efficiency and decrease manual work.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Support:
    • Assist in the setup, upkeep, and enhancement of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
    • Help in integrating various tools and services into the CI/CD pipeline, such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Monitoring and Logging:
    • Contribute to implementing and managing monitoring solutions utilizing tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana.
    • Support in establishing and maintaining logging solutions for proper application and infrastructure logging.
  • Security and Compliance:
    • Aid in enforcing security best practices for AWS infrastructure.
    • Assistance in ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal security guidelines.
  • Collaboration and Support:
    • Work closely with development and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related challenges.
    • Provide assistance in managing documentation for infrastructure, processes, and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background:
    • Presently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
    • Strong foundation in networking.
    • Prior experience with cloud is advantageous
  • Technical Skills:
    • Basic grasp of cloud computing concepts, specifically AWS services.
    • Familiarity with scripting languages like Python and Bash.
    • Understanding of version control systems like Git.
    • Knowledge of networking concepts used in the cloud.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
    • Outstanding communication and collaboration skills.
    • Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Desirable:
    • Prior exposure to DevOps tools and methodologies.
    • Experience with containerization technologies and container orchestration.
    • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and procedures.
