What you will do:

This position is responsible for the finance partnership for the SEA Retail business as well as lead the overall COS Controlling for the APAC Retail business, reporting to the Finance Director, APAC Retail.  This position plays a critical role in partnering with the business and functional leaders, to drive business performance across various key accounts, geographic regions & territories, performing FP&A activities for strategic and annual plans/quarterly forecasts/monthly outlooks and other ad-hoc requirements, providing financial and commercial advice to support business decision making. In addition, this position is expected to work with the in-house Regional Business Centers to ensure the smooth execution of finance activities in RTR/OTC/PTP, working with Controllership teams to ensure propriety and compliance to company policies, as well as working with Corporate teams to support statutory, tax and corporate secretarial matters. 

With respect to the COS Contoller role, this position is expected to support the APAC GM & Ops Leader to define strategic long range plans as well as tactical annual plans, and lead best-practice process flow and control points for Operations and Service Delivery, and to identify opportunities to improve productivity, cost-down and other areas of operational excellence, drive necessary cadences/reporting required to deliver business and financial objectives. 

How you will do it:

  • Leads the preparation and submission of long range plan, annual plan, quarterly forecasts, monthly/weekly outlook, monthly ops review, weekly secured/revenue/SINC/Collection tracking, and ad-hoc requirements
  • Partners with the SEA GM to drive sub-region business and financial objectives
  • Partners with the APAC Ops Leader to drive APAC Operations and Service financial objectives
  • Early engagement with SEA business on mid/large sized deals to provide recommendations on financial and commercial aspects, in order to optimize top-line, margin and cash objectives
  • Drive/Lead SEA/Ops & Service FP&A projects and activities to improve effectiveness and efficiency.  Examples include automation, simplification, leveraging on technological tools where possible and relevant. 
  • Leads the SEA FP&A function for Enterprise/Global projects such as M&A, LER, BOP, Finance Transformation etc.
  • Works with in-house Regional Business Centres to ensure smooth month end closing and accurate/timely financial reporting within prescribed deadlines
  • Leverage on CRM (Salesforce) to support and assist business in forecast, pipelines etc.
  • Establish & monitor business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Secured, Revenue, GM, SINC, ATWC, FCF, DSO
  • Ensures cost control is practiced and monitored, monitor monthly spending within budgeted levels
  • Supports the Finance Director to drive cash collections and credit control activities
  • Develops & implements processes & models for improving accuracy, timeliness & completeness of financial results & reporting
  • Ensures timely response to APAC, Global and Corporate requests and queries
  • Communicates and works closely with other departments in ensuring the overall company objectives/performance is achieved at all times
