FPA Controller

What you will do:

This position is responsible to lead the overall FPA function in APAC Retail business, reporting to the Finance Director, APAC Retail.  This position plays a critical role in partnering with the business and functional leaders, to drive business performance across various key accounts, geographic regions & territories, performing FP&A activities for strategic and annual plans/quarterly forecasts/monthly outlooks and other ad-hoc requirements, providing financial and commercial advice to support business decision making, supporting the Finance Director with the in-house Regional Business Centers to ensure the smooth execution of finance activities in RTR/OTC/PTP, working with Controllership teams to ensure propriety and compliance to company policies, as well as working with Corporate teams to support statutory, tax and corporate secretarial matters. 

How you will do it:

• Leads the preparation and submission of long range plan, annual plan, quarterly forecasts, monthly/weekly outlook, monthly ops review, weekly secured/revenue/SINC/Collection tracking, and ad-hoc requirements
• Supports the APAC Finance Director to partner with APAC Vice President & GM, to work closely with business and functional leaders to drive business and financial objectives
• Early engagement with business on mid/large sized deals to provide recommendations on financial and commercial aspects, in order to optimize top-line, margin and cash objectives
• Drive/Lead regional APAC FP&A projects and activities to improve effectiveness and efficiency.  Examples include automation, simplification, leveraging on technological tools where possible and relevant.  
• Leads the APAC FP&A function  for Enterprise/Global projects such as M&A, LER, BOP, Finance Transformation etc.
• Works with in-house Regional Business Centres to ensure smooth month end closing and accurate/timely financial reporting within prescribed deadlines
• Leverage on CRM (Salesforce) to support and assist business in forecast, pipelines etc. 
• Establish & monitor business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Secured, Revenue, GM, SINC, ATWC, FCF, DSO
• Ensures cost control is practiced and monitored, monitor monthly spending within budgeted levels
• Supports the Finance Director to drive cash collections and credit control activities
• Develops & implements processes & models for improving accuracy, timeliness & completeness of financial results & reporting
• Ensures timely response to APAC, Global and Corporate requests and queries
• Communicates and works closely with other departments in ensuring the overall company objectives/performance is achieved at all times
• Challenge on numbers, pricing, cost etc. value-add to the business from a Finance standpoint

What we look for:

• 12 years and above working experience.  Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar regional role, with demonstrated business partnership, business decision support, cost management, financial control experience 
• Self-starter, results-oriented and possesses a can-do attitude
• Strong business acumen and proven track record to partner with business leaders to drive aggressive and sustainable business and financial growth objectives
• Excellent understanding of IT and major business systems in terms of leveraging these systems to enhance functional efficiencies
• Experience in using OneStream, Salesforce or equivalent systems
• Strong people management skills with the ability to earn the respect and trust of peers, seniors and subordinates, so as to win their support and cooperation
• Understanding of and proficiency in US GAAP and international accounting standards, and good comprehension of Sarbanes-Oxley
• Fluency in English is required

Preferred

• Qualified CPA, CA, CIMA
• Experience or exposure to similar industry will be an advantage
• Familiarity with Oracle Fusion, ERP LN
