  • Troubleshoots and resolves electrical issues.

  • Responds to power outages and equipment failures.
  • Communicates job hazards and information effectively.
  • Interprets project requirements from design drawings and diagrams.

Required Education, Experience, Certificates and Licenses:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent Union membership.
  • Minimum four years of electrical work experience.
Expected Skills and Competencies:Ability to read design drawings and wiring diagrams.Mechanical aptitude for multitasking.Thorough knowledge of diesel engines and generators.Professional and efficient work attitude.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Preferred:Experience with remote Polar Logistics operations.Knowledge of AC and DC voltages.Mechanical or industrial experience.Physical and/or Other Requirements:Ability to deploy to Antarctica for extended periods.Successful completion of medical, dental, and drug screenings.Must be able to lift and move heavy items.Participation in community programs and safety objectives.Valid US Driver's License required.US Citizenship for facility credentials/authorization.We are an equal opportunity employer.
