About the Department
The Audit function is an independent internal audit team focusing on delivering objective assurance and consulting services to enhance and add value to the Group's operations. By adopting a systematic and disciplined approach, we support the Group in achieving its strategic goals by evaluating and enhancing risk management, control, and governance procedures.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead audit projects and oversee the business, operational, and regulatory audits of Group Wholesale Banking activities, including Basel II Independent Validation and Loan Asset Quality. Conduct various audit types such as global, thematic, or business portfolio audits of the Bank's Head Office Operations, regional subsidiaries, and overseas branches.
- Plan, organize, execute, and conclude internal audits, including preparing audit plans, reports, scheduling and assigning work, and estimating resource requirements.
- Conduct quality reviews of team audit standards, make recommendations to enhance audit processes and documentation.
- Generate concise summary reports and management papers for Audit Committees and other stakeholders.
- Assist the Division Head in steering and implementing strategic initiatives while engaging with key stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of relevant work experience in reputable auditing firms or financial institutions.
- Profound knowledge of corporate credit lending, financial, investment, and derivative products, Basel II IRBA requirements, credit management, remedial processes, and comprehension of laws and regulations governing the businesses.
- Solid understanding of Money Laundering, Sanctions, and Fraud risk in Wholesale banking.
- Strong project management skills, ability to lead, drive, and manage audit assignments effectively.
- Proficient in identifying business risks and controls, offering business-focused solutions to enhance risk management practices, and providing advisory support as a Subject Matter Expert.
- Excellent people management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of the industry and emerging digital trends.
- Data Analytics proficiency and related knowledge are advantageous.
- Hold a recognized degree in a relevant field.
- Professional certifications such as CIA, CFA, ACAMS, or CPA are beneficial.
